Group/Division

KLA-Tencor has manufacturing sites across the globe, including Belgium, China, Germany, Israel, Singapore and Milpitas (CA).  The Global Operations (GOPS) team, comprised of Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Installation, and Quality, is responsible for manufacturing our leading-edge technology.  We partner with our world-wide supply base and our design engineering teams to bring new products to market.  The GOPS team is continuously working to build our products Better, Faster, Cheaper.

The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule and monitor the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine required materials purchases.
  • Obtain materials using engineering and production schedules to maintain inventory at planned levels (i.e., just in time purchases).
  • Resolve discrepancies. Ensure material standards are met and non-conformances or variances are approved and/or minimized. 
  • Gather quotations, examines bids and participates in making awards.
  • Monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.
  • Evaluate vendor reliability and develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive.
  • Use skills as an experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolve a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. 
  • Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.  Ensure satisfaction and premium service levels to internal and external customers.
  • Able to interact with internal / external management across functions and organizations. 
  • Articulate component part roadmap to suppliers. Ensure alignment of component part availability based on industry / commodity trends
  • Quarterly review of excess and no demand inventory and execution of resulting action items
  • Semi-annual standard pricing review on purchased parts
  • Effectively manage supplier relationships and both the enterprise and division, function and project level.
  • Participate in supplier scorecard process. 
  • Ensure adherence to company supply chain management best practices, policies, procedures and external compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Electrical Engineering Degree or Industrial Engineering Degree
  • Demonstrated understanding of MRP and material planning concepts.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Ability to work well on cross-functional teams supporting roll out of new products and transition to newer technologies
  • Seven or more years of previous supplier management experience in a high technology field.  
  • Understanding of computer commodity.  Examples: servers, network switches, hard drives, IC’s, JBOD’s etc. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Level Degree and at least 3 years of experience OR
  • Master's Level Degree and at least 2 years of experience OR
  • Technical school and at least 5 years of experience
