Business Unit

The Legal Compliance Organization (LCO) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA provides legal guidance to further KLA-Tencor’s strategic objectives and protect and preserve the legal, ethical and financial integrity and reputation of the Company. With specific expertise in the areas of corporate law, commercial law, employment law, and intellectual property; the LCO offers strategic legal counsel that is informed by a clear understanding of the company’s business objectives and expertise in the laws and regulations relevant to the business worldwide.

Responsibilities

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

Assist LCO HQ in managing legal business matters pertaining to the organization. Provides a variety of general corporate and commercial legal services to a in-house clients. Acts as advisor on legal issues involving the organization’s commercial and technology transactions. Demonstrates experience in corporate matters, including corporate drafting of transactional documents, license agreements, risk management and contract management. Requires a law degree.

 

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • KNOWLEDGE: Uses professional concepts; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.   
  • JOB COMPLEXITY: Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Has internal and some external contacts.
  • SUPERVISION: Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
  • EXPERIENCE: Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
